St Andrew’s Community
Church Services
St Andrew’s Hall, 6 Brown St, Inglewood.
Sunday at 10am.
The service follows the Anglican tradition and concludes with a “community blessing” & delicious morning tea.
Wednesday Meals
Our Nearly New shop is open on Wednesday evenings from 5.30 to 6.30pm to serve free meals to our community. Volunteers cook and donate the food and we feed between 10 and 20 people each week. We love providing this service to our community and all are welcome – either to enjoy the food or join the roster of volunteers to cook something or to donate towards the cost of the meals.
Please contact Kathleen on 021 2539094 if you would like to cook or donate to support this outreach.
Afternoon Tea
Every third Wednesday bimonthly, beginning in January, we have an afternoon tea. This is a very relaxed time full of laughter, sharing and conversation around a set topic. The group is for any Parishioners, ladies and men, regular church attendees or not, and friends and family of those attending. On occasion we have a guest speaker. Our January gathering this year was in Robyn’s garden, under a maple tree, sharing stories of something new we had done, or someone new we had met, or a new place we had been to. The afternoon finished with each person telling of a blessing they had received this Christmas season followed by a cup of tea and delicious food.
If you would like to join us on phone Robyn 021 269 6379 or 756 8531.
Craft group
Craft group is held on the 4th Friday of every month from 1.30 to 3.00pm in the church lounge. All are invited so bring along your knitting, crochet, cross stitch or whatever your craft is and enjoy an afternoon of company and afternoon tea.
Young Mum’s Group
Our church supports a lovely group of young mum’s & their littlies. They meet on the second Friday monthly. We do crafts together, cook together, enjoy a guest speaker at times and share stories of family life, celebrating the good times and supporting the not-so-good times. If you have a young mum as a neighbour or know of any young mums, tell them about our group and invite them to join us or phone Robyn 021 269 6379 or 756 8531.
Parish Prayer Time
1.15pm on the first Monday of each month.
Meet in St Andrew’s Hall Prayer/Library room.
This is a quiet time of prayer and meditation.
To pray blessings into our community.
All are welcome.
